AffinIT, a Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in New Jersey, delivers comprehensive IT, cybersecurity, and network support solutions to small and medium-sized businesses. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Operating Officer to optimize our service delivery and internal operations.

Position Summary

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of our MSP business, ensuring service excellence, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth. This executive position will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with our company vision.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute operational strategies that support the company's business objectives and growth targets
Oversee service delivery operations, ensuring high quality standards, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency
Lead and develop the operations team, including technical delivery, project management, and client support functions
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness and efficiency
Optimize internal processes and systems to enhance productivity and profitability
Manage vendor relationships and partnerships to ensure optimal service delivery
Develop and manage departmental budgets and resource allocation
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and client-focused service excellence
Support the development and implementation of cybersecurity and compliance frameworks

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
10+ years of progressive operational leadership experience, preferably in the MSP, IT services, or technology sector
Proven track record of successfully scaling operations in a service-based organization
Strong understanding of managed IT services, cybersecurity, and network infrastructure
Experience with professional services automation (PSA) and remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically

Preferred Experience

Previous C-level or senior leadership role in an MSP or technology services company
Experience with MSP industry best practices and frameworks (ITIL, etc.)
Background in implementing operational efficiency initiatives and quality management systems
Understanding of financial management in a service-based business
Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance requirements (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.)
