Capstone is hiring a Front-End Developer with a strong eye for design and proven experience advocating for the user. This role is a six-month contract for hire with a Fortune 500 company. The front-end developer works with a high degree of independence and develop applications that support our client’s eCommerce platforms.

The hired person will write well-crafted, high-quality, and easy to maintain code while working closely with internal customers and back-end developers to craft valuable solutions for the users. Skills/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree

• 5+ years of professional experience in interface design

• Portfolio that demonstrates previous work samples

• Strong background in UX/UI design, methodologies, and development

• Experienced in web-based technologies, including HTML5 code, CSS3 layout and JavaScript/jQuery

• Experience with Vue2, or Vue3 is highly desired

• Thymeleaf, Webpack, NPM, Less, Vue Composition API, Vuex, Typescript, Bootstrap, Axios experience helpful

• Must be able to deliver high-quality work across multiple projects, consistently and on time

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for all levels of the organization required

Essential Job Functions

• Create mockups, wireframes, and layouts that promote ease of use and optimize how customers interact with all new products and features

• Prepare prototypes for the new product applications and features

• Capable of programming and working with APIs and Web Services

• Understand HTML/CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, responsive and mobile with direct experience optimizing design concepts around these technologies

• Able to maintain attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment

• Think creatively and justify concepts

• Typical focus is on code design efforts

• Solid understanding of secure coding techniques and best practices

• Responsible (takes ownership) for multiple software applications

• Participate in the development of multiple projects at one time

• Conducts code reviews and ensures coding best practices are being followed

• Recommend software improvements and changes to systems, as needed

• Perform software and data analysis to uncover issues and solve complicated problems that typically span multiple systems

• Lead various meetings to gather software requirements and project details

• Conduct software demos to educate and train others in the use of software

• Debug and correct complex software defects

• Develop new or modify existing software using coding best practices

• Create or update advanced project documentation

• Test software to validate accuracy of code and high-quality software systems
