The role

As a Software Engineer at Chatkick, you will have the unique opportunity to sit between the Product & Engineering team and our Customer Success function. Your primary goal is to develop new features, documentation, and workflows to improve the customer experience. In this role you will be expected to handle basic feature development tasks, documentation writing, and customer support triage where necessary. This role is a strong fit for recent bootcamp graduates and/or aspiring software engineers.

What you will do

Handle inbound support requests (multi-channel) and properly triage and/or resolve.
Develop and update features of our software
Write and update product documentation, FAQs, and other support documents
Expand automated test coverage across all products/services
Organize and project manage open support requests to ensure speedy resolution
Work with leadership to identify product gaps to improve customer satisfaction
Become an expert on our products and how they serve customer needs

About you

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Highly ambitious and willing to learn on the job
Deeply empathic
Hyper-organized, obsessed over details
Strong Javascript/Typescript skills
Strong knowledge of React
Strong knowledge of CSS, HTML, DOM
Experience writing unit and e2e tests
Basic SQL proficiency
Professional experience in a customer facing role

Bonus points for

Prior startup experience
Experience writing automated UI tests (e.g. Playwright, puppeteer, cypress.io)
Working knowledge of Figma
Previous experience working with Recruiters, Talent Acquisition, HR
