Position Overview

The Software Application Engineer position will provide comprehensive support and is a key member of the team responsible for creating world-class, industry leading software applications supporting their products and services. This includes system integration, diagnostics, data logging, and programming capability for the Company systems. This role will be responsible for managing the full product life cycle of the tool from requirements definition to development, validation, and release. This person will work to understand the

needs of internal customers, external customers, as well as work closely with our product development and operations team to ensure compatibility with new designs. This person will be a part of a team providing industry-leading customer service and support of state-of-the-art products in a trend-setting company.

This person will report to the President based in Greenville, SC and will work closely with a Hardware, Software and Operations team in the USA and Europe. Limited travel may be required in support of customer requirements gathering and validation testing.

Tasks:

· Manage the full product life cycle and development of new applications from technical requirements definition, development, validation, release, and maintenance.

· Ensure the application architecture is compatible with new products working alongside the product development engineering team.

· Create new functionality to improve the usefulness and capability of the tool.

· Create new solutions and tools that will help improve day-to-day work of teams and customers.

· Perform developer and peer testing within the Hardware and Software Solutions team.

· Engage with customers (internal and external) to understand the requirements.

· Write all software code technical requirements

· Manage updates and bug fixes.

· Manage deployment of updates.

· Create processes to ensure the development and release of updates is coordinated with engineering development process gates.

· Determine overall effectiveness of the tool and make improvements.

· Interact with Subject Matter Experts to ensure quality and accuracy of new features.

· Develop a deep knowledge of our products.

· Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

· BS in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related discipline

· Five (5) plus years of proven related software application development experience

· Excellent, proven .Net development experience using C#

· Strong Windows application development experience

· Strong knowledge in design and development using SQL Server and T-SQL

· Knowledge and experience with XML

· Experience with Web Servers, Web Services a plus

· Experience with mobile device software development (Android and iOS)

· Local and Cloud based Database interface experience

· Data visualization and graphical interface skill

· Photoshop or any other graphics programs a plus

· Good technical aptitude

· Excellent organizational and time-management abilities

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Strong ability to interact in a professional manner with internal and external customers

· Good problem resolution and analytical skills (troubleshoot technical issues, communicate and document solutions to non-technical parties)
