THE ROLE: Associate Engineer

Job Summary:

As an Associate Engineer,you will build highly scalable, cutting-edge software and application solutions for our enterprise clients. You will be the first member of a team that will provide shared development services to a set of regulated customers requiring US only DevOps/AppDev assistance.

Travel Requirements:

In this role you will be expected to travel up to 10%.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with various teams including customers, project managers, architects and sales to define requirements, interfaces, implementation approaches, and scalable and reusable solutions.

• Collaborate and take guidance from architects, engineering managers, team leads to learn and implement best practices across various projects.

• Drive technical excellence and implementation of best engineering practices such as design review, continuous integration, and test-driven development.

• Be a hands-on problem solver and lead from the front in continuously exploring new technology platforms.

• Ensure adoption of best-in-class quality assurance techniques to delivery very high-quality software solutions.

• Work in a mutually interdependent structure spanning across business, technology and other functions helping unblock teams and resolve issues.

• Work closely with the client engagement partner, to improve client relationship.

• Efficiently manage the day-to-day operations and client communication.

Required Skills:

• Experience developing and troubleshooting API based solutions.

• Experience in relational databases such as Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, etc.

• Exposure to NoSQL DB technologies MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.

• Experience in building & troubleshooting applications running in complex AWS/Azure cloud environments.

• Agile tools such as JIRA & DevOps tools such as Gradle, Docker, Gitlab, etc.

• Hands-on programming experience with web development in any of the following languages: Python, Go, JavaScript (Node, Angular, React).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Cisco Webex API experience a plus

Education and Experience:

• Recent graduate with a Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science or similar programs that include computer programming in curriculum or equivalent experience and/or military experience.
