Job Title: Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js / AWS)
Experience: 10 Years
Location: Hybrid (3–4 days onsite) – Charlotte or Detroit
Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in backend development using JavaScript and TypeScript
- Solid understanding of software design patterns
- Experience in building RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs using Node.js
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including application development, CI/CD pipelines, and database management
- Experience with Generative AI (Gen AI) for code generation, testing, and automation
- Familiarity with React / React Native (good to have)
- Strong understanding of day-to-day engineering practices and development workflows
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable, reliable, and resilient distributed systems
- Define and enforce coding best practices
- Conduct peer code reviews and ensure code quality
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, testing, and release processes
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy and manage applications on AWS
- Actively contribute to development using modern technologies
- Troubleshoot and resolve production and integration issues from API consumers
