Official Title/Assigned Title: Java/Angular Developer-Full Stack Developer

Duties: The JAVA/Angular Developer will work within an applications development team which is responsible for core application development for two certain areas supporting agency and member management. This is a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. This role will focus on building and enhancing modern applications across the full stack, with an emphasis on Java backend development and Angular front-end frameworks.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using full‑stack Java technologies.
- Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using Java and Angular
- Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices
- Develop responsive, user-friendly front-end components
- Work with relational databases to design and optimize SQL queries
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and product owners
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement
- Troubleshoot, debug, and support production applications
- Contribute to architectural decisions and best practices
- Build and enhance enterprise insurance applications
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration activities.
- Utilize Git for source control and Jira for work tracking and sprint execution.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications.
- Participate in unit testing and validation of rating logic, data, and configurations prior to model updates or releases.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of proven full stack Java development experience developing enterprise‑level applications.
- Experience with Java 17 or higher + Spring Boot
- Experience with Angular (19 or higher) Client is moving to Angular 21
- Proficiency with SQL, IBM DB2, including complex queries and stored procedures.
- Experience with RESTful API development.
- Experience working within Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with Git workflows for version control.
- Experience using Jira for task management and sprint planning.
Preferred Skills/Characteristics:
- Bachelors degree is preferred but not required
- (Expo experience is a plus)
- Experience with C# /.NET technologies
- Familiar with Cloud technologies (Azure or AWS)
- Experience within financial services, insurance, or other enterprise environments
