Product Engineer — New York City Full-Time | $185K – $300K + Equity
I'm partnered exclusively with a stealth-stage startup that's building the command center for the next generation of crypto traders. Their platform lets users trade any product, on any chain, instantly and with zero friction. Low-latency, execution-first, built for volatility. They're not optimizing a legacy product. They're defining a new category.
They're looking for a Product Engineer who thinks in systems, ships in weeks not quarters, and cares deeply about the pixel-level details that separate good UI from great UI. You'll own the frontend end to end, from architecture decisions to production, working directly alongside designers and backend engineers in a flat, high-agency environment where the best idea wins.
What you'll work on
You'll design, build, and scale the core trading experience used by everyday traders making real decisions in fast-moving markets. That means building full-featured web applications and reusable component libraries, developing high-performance real-time charts and data visualizations, engineering sub-second load times through advanced caching and performance profiling, integrating REST APIs and WebSocket streams with robust client-side state management, and owning CI/CD pipelines from automated builds through seamless rollouts.
What we're looking for
2+ years building modern frontend applications. Expert-level TypeScript, JavaScript, and React. You have a genuine design sensibility and an obsession with making complex things feel intuitive. Strong command of CSS and WAAPI. Deep understanding of browser rendering, the DOM, and tools like Lighthouse and Chrome DevTools. Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Vitest, or Cypress. You thrive in-person and move fast in high-bandwidth environments. Must be authorized to work in the US.
