Role Overview
We are seeking a Data Science Intern to work closely with our product, engineering, and leadership teams on AI and data initiatives across Clinvvo’s healthcare platform.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly curious, analytical, structured, and excited about applying data science and AI to real-world healthcare problems. You will get hands-on exposure to how AI products are built, tested, evaluated, and improved in a clinical SaaS environment.
You will support data analysis, model evaluation, prompt and output testing, healthcare workflow research, performance tracking, and experimentation across Clinvvo’s AI products, including AI scribe, clinical dictation, patient communication, and workflow automation.
Key Requirements
- Strong interest in data science, AI, machine learning, healthcare technology, SaaS, or product analytics.
- Basic understanding of Python, SQL and data analysis libraries (pandas, NumPy, ML/AI libraries)
- Basic understanding of machine learning, LLMs, NLP, or statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with cloud AI services (AWS preferred: S3, SageMaker, Bedrock)
- Ability to clean, structure, analyse, and interpret datasets.
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to break down ambiguous problems.
- High attention to detail, especially when reviewing AI-generated outputs.
- Ability to create structured reports, analysis summaries, evaluation sheets, and dashboards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Self-starter who can take ownership, follow through, and work independently.
- Prior internship or project experience in data science, AI, NLP, healthcare, SaaS, or product analytics is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams on AI and data-related projects.
- Analyse product, usage, and operational data to identify trends, insights, and improvement areas.
- Support evaluation of AI outputs, including transcripts, clinical notes, summaries, and structured medical documentation.
- Help build datasets, evaluation frameworks, testing sheets, and quality benchmarks for AI products.
- Assist in prompt testing, model comparison, output scoring, and error analysis for LLM-based workflows.
- Conduct research on AI healthcare tools, clinical documentation workflows, model performance, and industry trends.
- Support product analytics by tracking key metrics such as usage, completion rates, accuracy, latency, and quality feedback.
- Create structured reports, dashboards, summaries, and documentation for internal teams.
- Coordinate with product, engineering, QA, and customer success teams to gather feedback and translate it into actionable insights.
