A Series B AI company $91M raised, 7x revenue growth last year, is hiring a Staff AI Frontend Engineer. If you want to measure a startup by revenue-per-engineer instead of hype, this is one of the very few that survives the test.
You are an engineer first — with the design instinct to make complex enterprise tools feel as intuitive as the best consumer apps. You'll own user-facing features end to end, from React components through to production polish, and help define how frontend gets built in an AI-native org.
What they're looking for
- 6+ years shipping production-grade products (Senior–Staff level)
- Mastery of React, Next.js, TypeScript and Tailwind — you understand the performance consequences of your architectural choices
- Genuinely AI-native: Cursor, Claude Code, v0, Lovable and comparable tools are extensions of your craft, and you ship multiple features a day with them
- Design sensibility — you can debate Server vs Client Components as fluently as you critique spacing and visual hierarchy
- High agency: you've operated outside structured environments as a founder, founding engineer, or with real ownership at an early-stage startup
- On the bleeding edge — you can say exactly what changed in your stack in the last three months
- Comfortable talking to customers and shaping product through action
- Based in SF or willing to relocate immediately. In-person 5 days a week downtown SF
Nice-to-Have
- Prior founder or founding engineer experience
- Real-time WebRTC streaming or video pipeline experience
- Voice AI product experience
- Generative UI or generative dashboard work
- Python backend comfort for occasional cross-stack work
- No CS or Engineering degree required, portfolio, GitHub, and shipping track record matter more
- No CS degree required — portfolio, GitHub and shipping track record matter far more.
