A Typical Day in your role at Jet2
• Own and deliver data science use cases from problem definition through to production, building solutions that create measurable business impact across Jet2.
• Use AI-assisted development with Kiro throughout the Data Science lifecycle to accelerate experimentation, improve code quality, and standardise delivery.
• Design, develop, evaluate, and deploy Machine Learning and Generative AI solutions on AWS using modern MLOps practices for scalable, reliable production systems.
• Build intelligent AI applications including classical ML models, recommendation and LLM-powered solutions, and agentic workflows using modern AI frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, Product, Business Intelligence, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality, trusted, and accessible data
• Apply statistical thinking, experimentation techniques, and machine learning to solve business problems and optimise decision making.
• Transform complex datasets into actionable insights through SQL, Python, visualisation, and compelling storytelling for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to reusable data science assets, AI frameworks, and best practices that improve engineering quality, governance, and team productivity.
• Continuously monitor, evaluate, and improve model performance, ensuring production solutions remain accurate, scalable, and well governed.
• Stay curious about emerging AI, Machine Learning, and Agentic AI capabilities, bringing practical innovations into the team's roadmap where they add business value.
• Collaborate effectively within an agile team, sharing knowledge and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and engineering excellence.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience (Candidate Requirements):
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience delivering Data Science or Machine Learning solutions in a commercial environment.
• Strong foundation in statistics, machine learning, experimentation, and Python, SQL, PySpark, with experience building predictive models.
• Experience developing and deploying ML solutions on AWS (SageMaker, S3, Lambda, Glue) with an understanding of MLOps and CI/CD practices.
• Proficient with modern ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch, and data visualisation using Streamlit, Tableau or Power BI.
• Good to have exposure to Generative AI including LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG, Agentic AI concepts, and AI-assisted development using tools such as Kiro.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional and cross-regional teams.
• Passion for continuous learning, innovation, and building AI solutions that create measurable business impact.
• Good to have experience of working with UK, Europe client.
• Working knowledge of Agile framework is good to have.
