Senior / Lead Frontend Product Engineer - Fintech / UX
About the Job: We are seeking a seasoned Senior Product Engineer to help support and scale a high-growth financial technology platform backed by major institutional investors. As an early member of the engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping product architecture, guiding technical decisions, and delivering web applications that serve hundreds of thousands of small-to-medium business (SMB) owners and financial professionals.This job is ideal for a full-stack capable frontend developer with sharp product instincts, strong user experience intuition, and a history of owning features end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities
- Product & UX Ownership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Customer Success, Product, Leadership) to define product roadmaps, design seamless user journeys, and build high-impact features.
- Frontend Architecture: Establish UI standards, guide technical strategy from state management to component structure, and refine scalable, accessible design systems.
- Growth & Optimization: Drive experimentation, build conversion funnels, execute A/B testing, and track user behavior metrics to optimize acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Interface with business stakeholders and end-users to clarify requirements, gather feedback, and iterate on production software.
Required Qualifications
- Core Web Expertise: Deep mastery of JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern web browser architecture.
- End-to-End Ownership: Proven track record of owning client-facing product surfaces from UX design through success metric tracking (typically demonstrated through 7+ years of hands-on experience).
- Polyglot Engineering Skills: Strong proficiency in at least one additional programming language beyond JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Product Instincts: Strong focus on metrics, conversion flows, and polish, balancing pristine UI design with concrete business outcomes.
- Communication: Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and clients.
Preferred Experience
- Background building platforms tailored to SMB owners, financial advisors, or banking institutions.
- Prior experience as a Technical Lead or Engineering Manager.
- Hands-on experience integrating AI agents or LLMs into client-facing applications.

- Frontend: TypeScript, React, Next.js, GraphQL, Relay
- Backend / AI Infrastructure: Node.js, Python, Elixir/Phoenix
- Data & Cloud: PostgreSQL, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Terraform
- Workflow: GitHub, Linear, Slack (Continuous deployment mindset, asynchronous focus)
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $200,000 - $240,000 per year + Equity
