Role Description The React Native Expo Developer will design, develop, and maintain mobile applications using React Native and Expo for iOS and Android platforms. This full-time, on-site role is located in Home, KS, and involves working closely with product managers, designers, and backend developers to implement user-friendly, high-performance features. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean and reusable code, integrating APIs, troubleshooting and debugging issues, optimizing application performance, and participating in code reviews. The developer will also collaborate on architecture decisions, contribute to technical documentation, and ensure timely delivery of app updates and enhancements.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React Native, including experience with Expo for building cross-platform mobile applications.
- Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integrating mobile apps with backend services and third-party libraries.
- Familiarity with mobile UI/UX principles, responsive design, and component-based architecture.
- Knowledge of mobile app deployment processes, app store guidelines (Google Play, Apple App Store), and basic CI/CD workflows.
- Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX, or React Query) and asynchronous programming.
- Good understanding of version control systems such as Git and collaborative development practices.
- Ability to test, debug, and optimize applications for performance, reliability, and security.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Effective communication skills, ability to work in a team, and openness to feedback in an on-site environment.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and prior work on production-level mobile apps is preferred.
