Development Lead | Full Stack Development (React, Python)

Compensation: 130K to 165K annually
Our client is seeking a Development Lead to join a growing Development & Engineering team focused on building modern, scalable internal technology solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine hands-on software development with technical leadership, mentoring, and delivery ownership.
Position Overview
As a Development Lead, you will serve as a key technical leader responsible for guiding software development initiatives across frontend and backend technologies. You will help drive engineering excellence, support Agile delivery practices, mentor team members, and contribute directly to the design and development of production-grade applications.
This is a highly visible role that requires both technical depth and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications
- Lead sprint-level technical delivery and coordinate work across engineering teams
- Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices
- Support Agile ceremonies including planning, estimation, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
- Partner with architects, engineers, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
- Help resolve technical challenges, remove development blockers, and evaluate implementation approaches
- Mentor engineers through coaching, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance
- Support CI/CD processes, testing, deployment activities, and release readiness
- Contribute to documentation, coding standards, and operational processes
- Participate in technical interviews and candidate evaluations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of software development experience
- Prior experience in a Lead Developer, Technical Lead, Senior Engineer, or Development Lead capacity
- Strong full-stack development experience utilizing React, Next.js, TypeScript, Python, Flask, REST APIs, SQL, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud technologies.
- Experience working within Agile development environments, mentoring engineers, and partnering effectively with technical and business stakeholders
